Target Group Served: Children who are defined as truant by the schools they attend in an effort to reduce truancy.
Serves: Males, females, ages 6 to 16 years, and families.
Income Level: All
Additional Information: Truancy officer conducts home visits to advise the parent of their legal responsibility to compel their child's attendance at school. The officer also meets with the child to discuss the importance of education, goals, and attendance. The child's attendance is monitored by the officer for up to one year.
